Go the F to Sleep

 True story.

 

Working today and a lovely lady from British Columbia wants to know where I'm from. 

 

Texas.

 

"I love your accent. You should read for one of those sleep apps," she pauses, thinking about her verbiage. "NOT because you are putting me to sleep (ha!), but because your voice is soothing."

 

She has me and my colleague laughing out loud. 

 

She continues, "Or, do you have grandchildren? You could read books like Go the F to Sleep, like Samuel L. Jackson. Wouldn’t that be GREAT? Such a great gift to give them!"

 

What?!! 

 

Is that a real book?

 

Yes, it is a real book. And Samuel L. Jackson narrates the Audible version.

 

"Well, I try, hard, to behave. I aspire to pull off Morgan Freeman type narration, but ..."

 

(Maybe you remember a colleague suggesting I read for New York something or another, several years ago. I scoffed then. I scoff now.)
