These little memories pop up at just the perfect time. Enjoy.
The King was quietly singing greatest hits. Statuesque, gorgeous, blonde, and her equally handsome husband, are my guests. She pauses, sings word for word, beautifully, to her husband and to me, along with George. I’m feeling pure delight, head to toe. If I had a little nubby tail like Maggie Rose, it would be a very happy tail.
Smiling, she tells me her dad loves George Strait, they even share the same birthday. Aw, I’m all mushy, an emotional creature.
I’m reading Psalms again, for the I-don’t-know-how-many-times. I’ve needed comfort lately, so Psalms it is. David always puts things into perspective, for me. I feel better after reading this:
“I am worn out from my groaning.
All night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.”
Whoa, goodness.
I tell ya what, I’ve not flooded my bed with tears. Maybe I’m just a little over pandemics and politics, as are most people I meet.
So, when angelic beauty serenades us, I’m thinking my world is pretty darn good. God knows who we need when we need them.
I hope you experience goodness often. Find a little special each day. It’s here and there, waiting to be discovered.
Grateful and blessed.
