Half Baked Harvest Deliciousness

Dear friend in Cali messaged tonight … here’s my update:

 

I made myself get out, full makeup and hair, the whole shebang again today.

 

Two beautiful men sat down for coffee. Added bonus. (I acted like I didn’t see them. Don’t need that nonsense in my life. But I appreciate beauty in all its forms.)

 

I prepared dinner. New recipe and it was divine. First time using burrata. Won’t be the last. Lots of goodness here, special ingredients. Still cheaper than eating out in Jackson.

 

Poured Topo Chico in a pretty glass and acted all fancy and stuff.

 

I pulled a ‘good’ paper napkin for the occasion. (Can’t remember the last time I used my real linens though I like doing so.)

 

Dinner by candlelight.

 

When beginning my life over way back I would force myself go out to eat alone once a week, just to get comfortable with my own company. I’m going to start doing this again. I’ve worked hard and not taken time to enjoy life.

 

It was a good day. Any day with running water is a good day.
