If you are ever visiting Jackson and happen to stop by Albertson's, give a shout-out to Esther in the deli.
I stop in, usually after work, when I'm exhausted. Esther is probably exhausted too. Let me tell you something, she is kind, without fail. With a smile on her face, she serves up my requests, going beyond anything I ask.
The West can be a difficult place to work, and Esther's job can't be easy. Not one time has she said, "my feet are killing me," or "my back is hurting." Not one time have I overheard her discussing colleagues. She's an encourager, not a complainer; service with a smile, service with a sincere, positive attitude.
I want to be more like Esther.
Be an Esther.
Tell Esther you heard she is straight up solid gold.
