Lessons learned...
My military and/or LEO friends often provide the best, motivating, solid advice, all whom shall remain anonymous.
Not just for work, but life in general...SHOW UP AND SHUT UP.
If someone is going to be an ass, they won't need your help proving it.
Do the right thing, always. Sometimes this means not saying or doing a darn thing. Move on. Next.
Unless you know where the bodies are buried, best to use caution. And then, I'm no longer convinced saying in an idealistic voice, "Oh they're all over here, let me help you," is a very good idea.
Be authentic, with everyone, all walks of life, backgrounds, education levels, just be yourself. You and I are unique. The world needs unique.
Never fear. When fear creeps in, and it will, stop. Do not let fear ever rule your life. We have too much potential to live in fear.
Tell your story. We all have a story. Your story is as unique as mine. Vulnerable though we are, a life may be changed, helped, saved.
Support and love others, big, deeply. The world is hurting. Live the change. Witness by example, this is what people believe, rather than blah blah blah, your way is wrong, my way is right. Just. Live. The. Example. (This really makes people wonder what the heck, not kidding.)
Remember Glinda the Good Witch? "You had the power all along, my dear."
God is faithful. Errr day.
