Whoop

It's warm enough today I didn't require a jacket while running errands. Jeans and a plain blue Aggie tshirt, my go-to favorite along with PT Army tshirts. 

I'm walking to my car at Smith's (our Kroger), in my own little world. Vaguely I hear "Gig 'Em". And I hear it  again, pulling me back to the here and now. A cute little lady is smiling at me, Texas big. Tells me "they" attended Texas A&M.

Recognition kicks in. Melissa Vela, wife of GTNP superintendent David Vela was the voice I heard. We had a mini Texas revival standing in Smith's parking lot. Hallelujah, amen. Such a lovely person. 

Everyone needs a little whoop in their life now and again. 👍
