Cootie

I was talking to Maggie Rose about charcuterie boards. Is this a fad, new, or is my peasant coming out, do we even have charcuterie boards in Texas? Correct pronunciation is difficult to nail down, as even Google is like ‘say what’? 

Charrr ku trrree or shar/kew/tree - these are accepted pronunciations, apparently. Debbie’s version on Google would be ‘shar cootie’, as in those boys have cooties. ‘Let me prepared my shar COOTIE tray for my guests tonight.’ Two problems with this - I seldom have guests and who wants to eat off a cootie board? 

It doesn’t really matter what anyone wants to call them, as long as they aren’t offended when I say cootie. The boards are gorgeous, and my friends in Texas would most naturally prepare a sumptuous feast, utilizing a cootie board. 

Hand me my large round sharcootie tray please.
