I read something recently about luck or getting lucky, concerning those who are successful.
Why is success considered luck or lucky, by many, many whom don't want to do the work or log the hours?
I've personally heard conversations stating as much, "Oh they're just lucky."
Luck is nice but is far from most truth.
And often times when one gets "lucky" hate mongers pop up ready to serve an oversize dish of cool humility to whomever dare work for and embrace success.
Passion and desire paves way for success — hard work and long hours. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
If you get "lucky" don't let the cold-water committee douse your passion.
A while ago I was processing out loud with an acquaintance. The fledgling poet, patiently listening, spoke this nugget to me:
"Anything you learn can be applied to your passion."
Holy cow, what a chunk of wisdom, simple and true.
Why have I not applied past success to writing?
Why have I not advocated for me, as I often do for others?
It feels weird, to me.
Learn, find passion, apply past and current successes.
Stay humble you lucky fool.
