Every year I celebrate this momentous move, flying by the seat of my pants. Everything I owned was in that UHaul, or riding on the trailer.
I was late getting on my way this day. I stopped long enough to top off the gas tank, and snap some quick pics, at Sam’s in College Station. I didn’t allow myself to think too far ahead, one step at a time, overwhelming emotions locked down, tight. I wasn’t brave, conversely, I wasn’t afraid. Getting from point A to point B was my mission, dealing with pesky details as they arose. (Deb, only pull in a parking lot where you can pull your small train forward and onward, being the first detail. Worked for me. Though I back a boat as well as anyone, my lovely uHaul back window was blocked. Fortunately I use side mirrors most. An extra review mirror peek wasn’t available.)
Truly this was a faith move.
