I’m behind on storytelling. And I have a few little nuggets here and there to share. But Jackson is REALLY busy this year.
And I love the busyness.
I won’t know what to do with myself when life slows down again.
Soon I’ll take the time to write a bit and share with y’all.
But today, a half dozen kids or so stopped by to see me. One I know to be a Texas Aggie, had visited previously. More accurately, they stopped by to see if I still had any ‘Howdy’ sweatshirts. (All you Aggies will understand this.)
They’re spending the summer with our Polo Club, working.
Mercy, I love students. Always have.
I asked if any of the others are Ags. One proudly raises her hand. I get a firm handshake and eye contact from my new Aggie friend.
Oh my heart, they’re respectful and kind.
These kids are good kids, hard working. The gentlemen in the group might not have been too sure if I was gonna shoo them out, standing back a bit, eyeing the situation and our pretty boutique.
It rained today so work was called. They all looked scruffy. And fresh faced.
I wish I’d had time to ask each of them a bit about what brought them to Wyoming. Or are some of them from Wyoming? What are their interest and how do they plan on going about pursuing those interest? Backgrounds, how many different backgrounds were standing in our shop today?
Every single one of them acknowledged me as they were leaving.
Just the best kids. Someone did a good job with each member of this crew, raising them.
I love students.
I love Aggies.
I love Texas.
And Wyoming ain’t half bad.
