A fairly trusted dear friend swears we had a connection the first time we met. The eyes. He's a pretty well trained professional. Actually very well trained, to spot deception. If HE feels this way, what are others thinking? 

 

No, I wasn't feeling what he thought I was feeling. Not even a little. He was not even on my radar. 

 

So, don't tell me to look someone in the eyes. Generally, from a very young age, eye contact has invited unwanted attention, for me. 

 

If I make eye contact with you, it's not because I want you.

 

It's simply because I'm trying to be a respectful adult.
