I've had the beautiful home, every material possession I ever wanted. 'Things' did not make me happy, didn't heal my soul, didn't heal my mind.
Simplicity healed me. Nature healed me.
Almighty God healed me.
SBD taught me what it was/is to be a warrior. The. Best. Trainer. She mentored me when I was weak, she never gave up on me when I struggled running, or performing burpees, or bear crawling down the football field. She taught me to fight, for fitness, for life.
Fitness teaches life lessons.
I want what God has for me, nothing more, nothing less.
His plans are bigger than my dreams.
Dream bigger.
Over the last couple years Sheri has faced mountains as big as the Tetons. And she has overcome, continues to overcome. This is only a portion, tiny portion, of Sheri's story.
"I want to train again. I come alive when I go to the gym. I love every.single.thing about training hard. I love helping people become stronger and regain self confidence through training. I love to help people realize their fitness potential. God knows all of this. He hardwired me for the psycho fitness junkie I am. However...He called me out of training about 2 years ago.
I have some ideas why...one being it’s comfortable...it’s within my comfort zone..I know fitness related stuff like the back of my hand and now it’s time to move on.
I still get discouraged knowing I’m not released to enter back into training. I still get the urge to jump in and start a new program or offer to help someone get stronger. It seriously pains me when I so desperately want to jump back into the fitness arena, but I am learning to let it go until He brings it back (if ever) and fully surrender to His plan. Yesterday while working out I felt so alive... Fire welling up inside...I thought how can I have so much energy for something and this not be what the Lord wants me to pursue..then I listened to a sermon and WOW...the fire that stirred deep within me was uncontainable...it surpassed the fire from the gym 1000 fold. All I could do was weep at God’s goodness. His plans are higher...always better than our own even when we can’t see it in the natural. I’m not sure where I’m headed, but I know it’s all for the Kingdom and God’s glory. When my plan is revealed I’m sure I’m going to be like, “Say whaaatttt!?!?!”
Come on Lord...whatcha got? I’m ready. Send me. #tobecontinued #yourwill #yourway #mystory #yourglory"
Sheri continues to inspire me, often.
I am a warrior.
God is taking me for a beautiful ride.
Grateful.
