Leave the Light On

"Just walked in my room!!! Yay!!!"

These words were posted December 20, 2015.

I was late leaving that day, but I wasn't waiting another minute to get on the road. I was one throbbing nerve. Needing to begin the rest of my life, I drove it like I owned it. Or maybe like I stole it. (Is that the biggest UHAUL you've ever seen? Every single belonging was packed, tight, into this massive truck. Not to mention the long butt trailer toting my car.

I'd driven so far, for so long, and I finally was in my hotel room. Me and Maggie Rose.

I didn’t have a place to stay when I moved here, I would’ve slept in my car. When I say I was flying by the seat of my pants, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I’d never stepped foot in Wyoming.

I knew from the very first day, I was home. And for three months, Motel Six was my home. I’ve never been more grateful for Motel Six.

God is good.
