Crap-Shifting

Perhaps dinner tomorrow? Fish tacos are second to beef tacos, for me. You will never hear me say dang, I’m craving fish tacos. Ever. But this particular recipe is simple and begs to be prepared. I would need to make a run to town for limes, and chili/lime seasoning of some sort. The chili lime seasoning did it, spoke to me. Have you heard of Spiceology? Oh my goodness, various infusions of flavors shouted out loud to me tonight. I didn’t purchase anything, I practiced restraint. I must’ve been tired. Or wise.

Wanna bet I add guacamole?

You know how you organize your spices, all pretty and such? And then organizing the pantry is a must, because you’ve crap-shifted. A closet then holds up a figurative hand, smiling, me next pretty please!

And so it goes, from books, journals, notebooks in my entertainment center, an armoire of beautiful dishes to my armoire stuffed with clothing of all sorts, I straightened, shifting even more. Ornate hangers in my under-the-stairs mini storage space fell weeks ago. I didn’t search for a stud when originally hanging. Studs shouldn’t be hard to find. Today, once again, they’re attached to the wall, holds perhaps tenuous. We’ll see. (This particular closet is the one you open the door only slightly, and throw whatever you’re “organizing” as far back as possible, slamming the door quickly, before weird stuff falls on the schnauzer and nosy cat. We all have at least one junk closet, just like we all have at least one junk drawer.)

I de-wormed a schnauzer. Sure did. (Original text stated, “I wormed a schnauzer.” Can you imagine? Maggie would be all kinds of upset. “Here Maggie, I have your worms. Hold still, dang it.”)

Proofreading matters. And yet I’ll still find nonsense.

George was next, thinking he was getting treats, he was easy. He’s the sweetest, most beautiful kitty. He knows he was rescued and he’s grateful every day.

I washed my hands. Repeatedly.

Yeah, I did all that and it feels good.

Returning to work, I will be organized, at least for a little while.

Sugar, we’re calling it a beautiful night.

xoxo
