Over the last eight years I’ve learned how to take care of myself, my car, and I replaced a lamp socket today. Sure did.

Don’t laugh.

I’m SO proud.

No one was electrocuted. I learned which prong the gold screw leads to, and which prong the silver (hot) screw leads to. I learned what a UL (Underwriters Laboratories) knot is. I tied one too.

I can hear some of you thinking...

Yes, I unplugged my lamp prior to screwing around with gold and white screws, and electrical wires.

I’ll have a lamp tonight, woohooooo!!!

Now, I want fasting to be done for today. I want some popcorn after replacing that socket. I earned it.
