She asked me to check and see if I could see through her dress.
Say what? True story. I couldn’t help but laugh.
I will be speaking shortly and I forgot my slip, can you see through my dress?
She was a beautiful little thing, long blonde hair, four inch heels, boots, (I have some just like them, man are they hard on the feet), and a handsome fellow she didn’t trust to tell her the truth, her husband. You will tell me the truth. Yes, I’m known for being honest to a fault, they say.
Here’s the deal, I tell her...they would have to look hard to see through your dress. You get up to speak and rock it baby. People shouldn’t be checking your dress so close.
They are both laughing, a beautiful couple with a sense of humor.
Next morning someone’s all hey!!! It’s me from last night, everything was fine. Wonderful, I reply, asking what they were doing, speaking and all.
We provide bibles, translated NIV bibles in all languages, around the world. (They were holding a fundraiser.)
I should’ve been a missionary, distribute bibles, encourage others, share the Good News. She turns around looks me in the eyes, you would be a great missionary, you like people. Indeed, I love people.
Based in Colorado Springs, they are doing God’s work. She graduated from Texas A&M. She’s double blessed. Small world.
Lovely new acquaintances. We may meet again on the mission field.
God bless you she tells me as they walk off. He does, every day, I tell her.
