After each of my last two days at work I didn't get home until after nine. Road construction I've previously discussed. While improving, after dark it is an unmitigated disaster. If someone doesn't get hurt, or worse, we will be lucky.
This is the best (non)visual I can offer...there's a minimum of four rows of orange traffic cones and barrels, stretched across what appears be four lanes, four lanes being the tricky part. Where, after dark, does black asphalt end — no marked lanes, none, other than cones and barrels spilling randomly across the highway — and the trip into someones yard or the Snake River begin?
Both nights barrels and cones have been run over, knocked over, blown over, especially last night during high winds, rain and snow. There's one spot in particular, TWICE, an oncoming car didn't know where the heck to drive, nor did I. Scary. It's pitch black, no real direction through certain portions of the highway, and cars everywhere, trying to decide if there is a lane, detour, or cluster, accident waiting to happen.
I asked a neighbor how she felt about this, construction. She voiced almost exactly the same concerns as me. I'm glad I'm not the only one, which will help absolutely no one if there is an accident.
Help me out, Jackson.
