Stopping by Albertsons after work, olfactory senses are greeted with my favorite fragrances: cinnamon, perhaps of touch of orange and cloves. Albertsons is on top of their game. I inhaled, relaxed.
Aromatherapy, powerful.
I'm forced to peruse the deli, big mistake. Spicy chicken strips call my name. As I order chicken, Esther asks me if I'm from Texas. Yes. Are you the one? Yes. You usually wear shades, right? Yes. She's still a doll, cheerful and helpful, as always. (You remember Esther, right, from the Kindness Counts initiative?)
I mosey around the store, this is after all, my Friday. I get lucky, and greedy. We have Pumpkin Spice Creamer on August 31. Ambrosia. Not one, but two creamers hop in my cart. I didn't have the heart to tell the extra cream to get out of my cart, we can't be selfish. It's the soft heart. Sorry.
This morning, oh man. Temps were in the 30's. My coffee, one sip, brings the most peaceful, pleasurable vibe. Inhale, ahhh, sip, oh yeah.
Morning was heaven.
Once motivation settles and my tummy growls, steak and eggs were quickly and efficiently prepared. Maggie Rose and George were incredibly willing to sample and share.
Tiffany Swain Williams always motivates with recipes, ambience, and product selection suggestions, via her FB post. I purchased Steak Eze, at Sam's. Those babies prepare quickly, are portion friendly, and easily seasoned to anyone's taste. Breakfast is fast and easy, cleanup minimal.
So, this is how Saturday morning began at my little piece of heaven.
Mine is a good, simple life.
xoxo
