Spa Day

Last week I treated Maggie to a spa day. (She’s gently eye-rolling.)

She was a shaggy booger. We had nothing left to follow, after months without grooming. I watched Youtube, my favorite videos I watched more than once.

Within ten minutes of turning on our fabulous clippers, her pattern was set and most of her body sheared. Things were a little more tricky around her ears and face, but we did it. She’s beautiful, and was a cooperative little pup. She’s a good girl always, but I didn’t know what to expect with grooming.

Our pictures show midstream. I keep her legs short, for hikes and such. The burrs can get bad. I was just glad I didn't butcher the hair around her face, she's beautiful. (I forget my clippers have 5 speeds. I turned those baby's on and got after it!)

She was so good.

Practice will make perfect. Lots to learn, reviewing videos, we’ll eventually get it right.

She didn’t want to be still while I took the last pic, she only wanted the treats behind my back, observe the stank eye. Her ears made me very nervous, so for now she sports hippy ears. I’ll work on it. And I need to brush her.

She and I are partners. I love this schnauzer.
