New Norms

I’m excited to report June 15 as my return-to-work date, to reset and clean in preparation to reopen. It feels good typing this, really good. In the meantime, I will continue to whip my tush in shape, prepare new meals, thus making life easier when I do return to work — I’ll have already fine-tuned menus. I’ll also do some fine tuning on my little place here on the river, as well. I’ll continue to read and learn, listen to podcasts.

I think Maggie Rose has had enough of me. Normally all up in my business, the last couple days she’s taken to lying in a corner of the bathroom until bedtime, meals, or potty time. Makes me chuckle, writing this. So, I put her blanky in the corner, she’s comfortable. She’s over quarantine and long walks, she’s had enough, for today anyway. I think she whispered something behind my back about being glad I didn’t sleep well, about needing a break. Poor baby.

George W, he doesn’t care. If he tires of me, he heads outdoors, coming back in when he feels the urge. Maggie of course doesn’t enjoy such freedom. She’s mentioned the constitution a few times, something about dictatorship. Whatever Maggie Rose. I still love you.

I’m abundantly grateful.

Time for dinner, pandemic style, along with red lipstick. ♥️
