Something Different

Remember the boiled egg recipe I posted? Maybe not, so here it is again, with a little twist at the end...

Bring a pot of water to boil, once rolling boil, gently deposit your eggs.

Boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and cover with lid for another 5 minutes. I like my boiled eggs on the softer side. You may want to add boiling time, one minute at a time, until you find your sweet spot.

Rinse with cold water, if you have ice, add ice to the water. This helps to prevent the little divot on the fat end of the egg, esthetics. A little science. 😉

Best results are achieved if you refrigerate overnight.

I've obtained an approximate 90% success rate, peeling clean eggs, using this method.

For me, not one to cook a lot, pulling an egg or two out of the fridge when I need a snack, works well for me. I toss one on my salad too. Not to mention, Maggie likes a bite of the egg white. She's special. So is George.

Let me know if you try it, and how it works out for you.
