I was blessed to be able to work yesterday. Each day ugly subsides a smidge. I feel better.
Answering the phone and hearing, “well hello, Brutus”, I laughed, hard. I love my friends.
Additionally, I was privileged to meet a 23 year Air Force veteran. I ask about a brace on his elbow. Tricep avulsion, healing well. His meniscus root surgery was more challenging. Ah, I see. Lovely gentleman.
The couple from Trey Gowdy’s hometown made my day, recently. Honey come here, she’s talking about Trey, he tells his wife. She attended a dinner with him, sat beside him, could hardly take a bite, as she was in awe. I tell them, “he’s my boyfriend, even though he has a beautiful, lovely wife. He, however, is not aware of this.” We all laugh, out loud. Mr. tells me Trey needs a new hairstyle. I don’t care if he has any hair, I love his mind. He’s not very tall, he’s a small man, again, I care why? There is absolutely no substitute for a good mind.
I expect to see Mr. Gowdy in action before too much longer.
Today I am gifted with rest, Maggie Rose, and George W. Tomorrow I have the pleasure of returning to work, a job I love, a location that continues to take my breath away.
I’m fortunate to have a body that continues to cooperate, some days more than others.
Thank you Jesus.
