Compassion

Preparing to wash clothes, a man runs over as I'm tossing bags from my car. He’s getting gas at the station across from me.

Him: I don’t have leg, I KNOW how this feels, let me get this for you.

Me: Eyes bugging out, looking for signs of no leg, tennis shoes, khakis nice and pressed, no limp, no sign of no leg. Seriously, I ask him?

Him: Yes ma’am. I saw you struggling and I knew I could help you. I know how this feels.

Me: I’ve learned I’m tough. How did you lose your leg?

Him: I was run over at work.

Me: People like you, our wounded warriors, you inspire me, often. THANK YOU. God bless you. Now give me a hug.

I also saw Peggy at JWG. She was picking up her BOGO. Got a hug from her too.

My life is really, really good.

Pay it forward D.

P.S. 50% weight bearing. YES!!!!

Thank you God for your mercy and grace.

Compassion in spades, my friends.
