This is my moose. He's my favorite toy. I bring him to bed with me often.
I see moose, as mom and I drive around the Wild West.
Something quite serious I see is tourists within five yards or so of moose. Not only are tourists infringing on the space of wildlife, they often can be seen standing in the middle of the road with their cameras, sitting ducks for vehicles coming around curves. No offense to sitting ducks. This really gets under my fur.
These are good animals not bothering anyone. Usually, they are getting a bite to eat. Humans just don't get it. Stay back, give all wildlife space. Otherwise, you're going to be trampled, or worse, and then you will wonder why an animal turned on you. It's nature folks.
And Texas friends, if mama ever sees you standing in the middle of the road with your camera, oh my goodness, it could get ugly. Use your big Texas-size sense.
I know, most have never seen a moose or elk up close and personal. Be respectful. Many of us animals haven't seen morons up close and personal either.
Stay safe.
Correcting in love,
Maggie Rose
