No sightings today, of Fireball (Maggie), to my knowledge.
I set the live trap along the fence line of Auto Tech today, with food and my T-shirt. The employees were wonderful. Smiling ear to ear when I showed them Maggie’s picture, they tell me yes, that's her. The boss told them to get her if she comes back. They smiled and said she's too fast. They did a little Ali dodge, back and forth. That’s my Maggie.
I passed out fliers to businesses on the Lane, with each business being warm and receptive. I’ve met the nicest, hard working people. I tell one man, “The SO, PD, Animal Shelter, veterinarians, they all know, if you lose my number.” He tells me no one ever tried that hard to find him. I tell him they must not love him like I love that dog. He tells me that is a fact. We laugh.
I drove down the Loop, out to the mountain. Did it all again. No little schnauzer butt. Finally came home.
A couple of checks on the live trap by the animal shelter, and another friend, show the trap to be empty late this afternoon, aside from the food and T-shirt. I will visit it in the morning, on the way to work, see if we snagged any critters. Or Maggie.
My neighbor messages me, tells me no dice, after checking the trap later tonight. Tells me he left a present outside my door... he knew my 50ml wasn’t going to last. Good friends. I’m blessed.
Maggie’s a fighter. We are two peas in a pod.
Never quit.♥️
