I open the door to let Maggie outside late last night. Snow. We have beautiful snow. She's quick to take care of business and head back in to warmth. Late this afternoon we took a nice walk, really nice. While forty degrees today was chilly, due to wind, compared to forty degrees a few days ago, we warmed quickly. Pausing briefly by a stream, I'm reminded how much I love mountain living, the peaceful melody of water flowing gently, Maggie exploring nature, our surroundings.
Tonight, we once again have huge, wet snowflakes. My window is open. I type. I listen to silence, peace. Maggie's snuggled in tight beside me, on my right side, and George W on my left.
This is a good life.
