I met a lovely mother and daughter this week. They were visiting from Colorado Springs. I got a little excited, as this was 'A' son's first home, after completing basic training. I was fortunate enough to visit, and learn about mountain living, while he and his wife lived in CS. Anyway, we ladies shared a great conversation. As they are preparing to leave, mom asks me if she can hug me, she tells me she enjoyed visiting with me. Well of course, I reply. She hugs me, and then asks me if I felt her squeeze me, she hopes that's okay, as she's a hugger/squeezer. Well of course, I tell her. I'm a bear-hugger. Can you tell? If I hug you, I mean it.
Isn't it funny how we have different ways of expressing the same emotions and feelings? We are human and each of us are different, thank goodness. One need never apologize to me for hugging, unless you cop a feel during the process, without my permission. At which point you will pick yourself up off the ground.
Remember to love others, be kind. When someone touches your heart, tell them. If they touch your tush, bust out the jiu jitsu.
